MacArthur Nelson....Innovative paint artist, creative writer, and unique floral designer debuting as REDPOET and breaking ground on his emerging collective vision.

Previously using only rainwater from recent atmospheric rivers, many of these magical watercolor pieces are mixed and created exclusively using rain!  Embracing this technique, he experiences the healing and calming affects of working with natures elements.  He is now showing an expansion into acrylic and oils.

Native Louisianan, Redpoet is local to the S.F. North Bay and is motivated by other self expressive artists that capture the split second beauty our world offers, making it last a lifetime.

Redpoet stretches the canvas as he paints his unique path!  In the last year, he has created art installations for several Bay Area business locations. The public can also view his work currently on exhibit at the John O’Lague Galleria located at Hayward City Hall until 1/7/2026. Next year, he will be exhibiting pieces at the Art@Archer Gallery in Oakland, Ca from 3/6-4/26/26 with a second showing 7/3-8/30/26.  Broadening both his educational and artistic scope, MacArthur is also attending college in pursuit of a doctorate degree.
